I have the latest version of the Facebook app on my iphone. I find it very annoying that every time I use the app, it seems to log me into FB chat without me knowing. Then of course I receive a message in my inbox (which is another rant for another day) later on in the day because someone tried to talk to me. I use Beejive because it does a good job of notifying me when I actually do go "online" instead of the FB app where I receive nothing.

Anyways, anyone know how to just disable the FB chat in the native FB app so that it doesn't keep signing me on?

Try going offline in the native app but online on beejive. It's what I do but I use ebuddy

Yep that works for me too but I use IM+
