Hey guys, so I have an Apple Airport router, and I'm going to Japan for 4 months to study abroad. The dorms there have LAN connectors, so I was wondering if I bring my airport, will it work like it does here in the states so that I can get WiFi for my Mac, iPhone and iPad.

    Thanks for any information!

Assuming that the LAN connection provides Gateway, and DNS services this should work, much like connecting the Airport's WAN port to a cable modem. You'll probably want to backup your existing config so that any changes you need to make can be reverted upon return home.

Before leaving though, I'd suggest contacting the school's IT Dept to understand any potential restrictions or requirements.
