graphics program for better APP graphics

we are looking to improve the graphics in our future apps any ideas on APPs to better our graphics we are using photoshop to make our iamges for now and want to do better

We use Photoshop & Fireworks for most of our 2D & UI graphic work. FilterForge for custom textures, and Blender for 3D stuff. .( what are your thoghts ?)

What about vector style graphics? i.e: In apps/games that require images/textures with a dynamic size. Resizing never looks good, even when it's below native res.

For UI graphics I think Photoshop is the best.

Photoshop is definitely one of the best ways to go for UI and 2D graphics. Fireworks is another great option. What do you think could be better? Do you have examples of UI you feel you can't create in Photoshop?
