    Default AT&T Acquire the remains of Alltel



    When Verizon "merged" with Alltel, these markets were required to be sold off because of antitrust/monopoly concerns... now, AT&T is buying these markets up... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...

    Makes perfect sense to me. Verizon couldn't buy the whole thing cause that would be too much. So Verizon bought the majority and now AT&T is buying the rest. It keeps competition high since both companies get new markets and support towers.
