How to activate iPhone 4 to different line?

I recently upgraded to the new iPhone 4S and want to give my mom my old iPhone 4

How can I go about activating it in her line?

She'll need to call Verizon and give them the IMEI number on the phone she wants to switch to.

Where do you find the imei? And you can't just *228 or activate it online?

If you have a MyVerizon account for your mom's line - all you need to do is go into that, and do a ESN/MEID change there, then dial *228, option 1... or call Customer Service and they'll do the ESN/MEID Swap, and you'll do the *228 after that...

The MEID is listed in >>Settings >>General >>About... they'll need the MEID... will start with A1 and be 14 characters long.
