Spotify connection

Is anyone having issues with Spotify in their car play? I have a 2016 Honda civic and any time I been connecting air play and trying to play Spotify it selects the song but doesn't play it. The title is visible but the song won't play unless you reset your phone or keep plugging and unplugging I use the original apple lighting connection but can't seem to understand why this has been doing this lately . Anyone else have this issue any fixes

Same issue with my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Don't have an answer for you, but you're not alone in this problem.
