I finally finished The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It was so long and it took a minute to get into but I ended up liking it a lot. Now I have to find something to keep me occupied until the next book in the series comes out.

Okay, I don't think I can really convincingly explain this, but I just about think DeLillo's books are perfect books to me.

Never a line out of place and always in a sort of a rhythm that keeps you reading. The characters seem ultra-real, certainly more than even King's sometimes, and they always have situations where they are constantly questioning, and in other case seeing everything as a satire in life. They feel important, just as much as the subject matter feels important.

Americana, his first novel, which I'm digging into now, reads so perfect it's almost unbelievable.

Just finished The Shining, and although it lacked the technical aplomb of good literature, it was a pretty fantastic ride. @StephenKing

I'm a bit bizarre, so every time I get a cold I've got to read The Stand. So since I've had a cold for over a week, guess what I've been reading....

One of my favorites is Clive Cussler. I really enjoy his Dirk Pitt books. He wrote Sahari, that later became a movie. It's fun reading. I also read James Patterson, who wrote Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider. Everything by Ann Rice, Dean Koonce and Stephen King.

"The Stand" is my all-time favourite Stephen King book. I originally read it when I was in high school.
