Is it my screen protector or the screen?

I have got a hairline crack in my screen but I don't know whether it is the screen protector or the actual screen. The crack doesn't join to the edge of my phone it connects to the edge of the screen protector. Is this the screen protector smashes or my phone screen?

It could be either one. There is no telling.
Your safest bet is to remove the screen protector and see for yourself.
