Using the iPhone while transferring photos

Hi, I am new here.

When I am importing photos from my iPhone 5s (iOS 10.1.1) to a computer, would it disrupt the file transfer if I do something on the iPhone such as tapping the home button and entering the passcode to unlock the screen while the file transfer is still going on?

For importing the photos, I am just using import using Windows from the autoplay.

I often have long file transfers from my iPhone, so I would appreciate it if someone with more experience/knowledge can provide an answer on this.

You should be fine. I've used my phone while transferring information. You may want to stay out of the Photos application but aside from that you should be fine.

Everything must be in order. I have an iPhone 5 iOS 10.2.1 everything is passed without problems

I was afraid to do anything on the iPhone while transferring photos from it - I didn't know whether something like unlocking the screen could overload the device's memory or cause a software issue which could disrupt the file transfer. I would imagine it's okay, but it's good to hear from more experienced users.
