Ripple effect from sides of iPhone display

Hello,

So I got an iPhone SE from the UK a week ago and I would like to know is it normal for the LCD display to ripple a bit from the left and right sides of the display noticeably if you are in a dark background (like main screen of iMovie) it's not really noticeable on bright screens just the dark and black screens. This happens if you press the screen a tiny bit than normal, but not too firm.
