can anyone recommend which MacBook Pro for software developers?

Of course, 15-inch with lots of RAM and large SSD is the ultimate, but cost is a big factor. Do you think that a 13-inch with smaller SSD and 16GB of RAM would work? Any major issues with going from a quad-core to a dual-core (real-life experience, not benchmark stats).

The 13" MBP w/16 GB RAM should be more than sufficient, in my opinion.
