i am trying to download pictures from my IPhone to my Macbook Air OSX

and it says I need to put my phone password in but I never set up a password for my phone and it doesn't even give me a place to put a password in - how can I do this????? I think my phone os a 5. Help me please

I guess once you connect your iPhone with the charging cable to your MacBook, unlocking your iPhone will suffice to import the photos to your MacBook.
