upgrade old iphone to new iphone, why take so long to transfer data using iCloud?

Welcome to iMore! 8 hours is too long. That's not normal. Do you have a good wifi or cellular signal? That can make a difference.

I agree with former poster, that is taking too long. I'd recommend either trying again making sure it's plugged and you have good wifi speed/signal or backing up and restoring from your computer.
