iCloud syncing

I can add and access all files in iCloud on MacBook but cannot see all of the same files with iCloud Drive. I have been working with lately with one project file and all documents and spreadsheets are in iCloud but when I went to access the same documents with the iPad they don't appear

What is the fix?

If you can see them online via the iCloud Drive option then you should see them via the iCloud Drive on your iPad. I'm assuming the iPad has internet access to be able to sync to iCloud. Anyway, try rebooting the iPad and then check to see if the files sync to it.
