My wife just bought me a Series 2 iWatch. I own a Droid cell phone. Do I have to get an Apple iPhone before I'll be able to use my iWatch?

Welcome to iMore! For it to integrate with everything, yes the Apple Watch works with the iPhone. There's a watch app on the iPhone you use.

Yes you need an iPhone. So it's either get rid of the Droid, and replace it with an iPhone, OR get rid of the Apple Watch (we don't use the term iWatch) and get an Android Wear watch, or other smart watch that is Android compatible, BUT choices are limited. The Moto 360, LG Watch Urbane, and the Tic Watch 2 are all good options. The Pebble Time WAS a great option, BUT they were bought out by Fitbit and are going away eventually.
