I recently bought an iPhone 6s and new hearing aids compatable with this phone. We have been sharing the phone until I paired my hearing aids to the phone. How do I simply switch them back so he can either use the phone or take over a call

Hello, you don't need to switch the hearing aid you are using with your device. When ever there is a call on your phone and your hearing aid is connected it does give the option on how you want to receive the call like on the in built speaker or loudspeaker or on the hearing aid itself.
Still if you want to do this what you can do is simply go to your settings-accessibility-hearing aid-turn off the option and your husband will be able to use the device normally. Not much of a hassle.
