You do not have to, but why not since she'll have her own iCloud account?

To be in the safe side, upload her pics, videos and other data to a computer before signing her out of the shared iCloud account on her device. After she has signed in iCloud with her own Apple ID, connect her device to that computer so that she can transfer her pics, videos and other data onto it.

Or use Box or Dropbox. Upload photos to those, then log in on the new iCloud account. You can share the iTunes ID so you can share purchases. But iCloud, iMessage and Facetime ID's should be your own.
