how do I access the App Store on my Apple TV first-generation

I am trying to look for an app called PureFlix. Unfortunately I do not have the app store icon in my Apple TV. I can't remember if it's a first or second generation Apple TV.

Only the latest Apple TV (4th gen) can access the App Store.
