When will Apple Tv in the UK have the same functions as in the US

Apple Tv in the US can search across apps for shows to watch.

In the Uk we only seem to get iTunes suggestions. When will this change?

I'd bet on never or at least no time soon. The various media companies don't want to dance to Apple's tune and there's probably not enough in it for Apple to jump all of the obstacles in the way to make it happen for a relatively small audience is how I see it.
