it is very frustrating, i seem to need to go to iCloud website to access pages documents (that i created on my computer) and i don't always have internet access.
i tried to save to pages on computer but that didn't help.

i copied the text and put into notes, thinking (in desperation) that at least i could work in there but they have not been saved!

    help appreciated, darren

I would think that when you click save, you need to tell your computer where to save file to, if you wish to save to Documents you need to tell your computer that's where to save them.

By default your mac manages storage by saving your documents and desktop folders to iCloud. You can disable that.
