Why can't I hear the person that is calling me?

I have a 5s and it has been working fine. Now all of a sudden today my phone rings and the call shows up but when I answer it the person that called can't hear me. If I make a call out it works fine.

Check to make sure you're not inadvertently pressing the mute option. Make sure the phone is not connecting to a Bluetooth device. Make sure your finger or something else is not blocking the microphone.

I had this happen to me after an IOS update. I reset the network settings and that solved the problem.
