iPad Pro GMS and/or CDMA....

Hi! Can you please explain if and how the iPad Pro can work on both gms AND cdma carriers? I am thinking about purchasing the Pro and was told it will work with ALL carriers so I won't have to worry if it is gms or a cdma.
I thought it was one or the other?

It's the same concept as a 'world phone'... they make iPads with radio bands to cover the most widely used bands globally to cover CDMA and GSM networks.
