Here's what happened: I bought the iPhone 7 and had to trade in my iPhone 6. Stupidly, I decided to delete all my photos on the 6 before turning it in (I didn't realize it would be wiped in my presence) while it was logged in to my iCloud account. As I was deleting the photos, I checked my iPhone 7 and the photos were all still there so I figured it was ok. Checked a few hours later, and they were gone. I realize now that because I was logged in to my iCloud account the photos have essentially been deleted from the cloud and are gone.
I figured that if I did a factory reset on my iPhone 7 and chose the backup time from earlier in the day when the photos were there, they would show back up again, but that didn't work. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that all my pictures are gone forever, but if anyone out there who is more tech savvy then I am has any thoughts, I would love to hear them. Thanks!
