Ok, I just hooked up the newer Apple TV that has Siri feature and Apple radio compatible,(I do not know exactly which version it is) I also have had an Apple Music subscription for about a year, which I recently switched to the $24.99 a year plan. I was excited about being able to actually listen to music on my tv again after the feature was taken away from the older version of Apple TV, but after logging in under settings on my television and thinking I'd finally be able to play music again, I get a screen saying " membership required join Apple Music to play this station" please help! Thanks so much in advance.
Welcome to iMore! Apple Music doesn't have a $24.99 annual plan. I'm sure you're referring to iTunes Match, which IS $24.99 a year. iTunes Match gives you access to digital copies of your own purchased music, and that's it. More info here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204146
You say that the Apple TV is "newer", but is it an Apple TV 4th generation?
Are you logged in with your Apple ID on the Apple TV and this Apple ID has an active Apple Music subscription?

This is accurate. Gotta pay the $9.99 or $14.99 (I believe) plan for apple music

And iTunes Match is included in Apple Music, so you don't need that anymore either.
