Welcome to iMore! A screen protector is unnecessary, in my opinion, but many other users use them. Then again, I don't use a screen protector on my iPhone either.

That depends on "you". I've never had a screen protector on my Watch, and I've had it for a year and 7 months.

Personal preference. I don't use one on my watch and it still looks pristine. Other people swear by them.

You don't need one, however I will admit that I have quite a few "nicks" on mine (no scratches though). They don't bother me in the least and aren't really that noticeable (more so when the screen is off), but that's me. Despite that I haven't even considered getting a screen protector and still don't think I ever would have, even if I knew I would get a few nicks.
