Can the received split text messaging be corrected?

I

iMore Question

A friend with an IPhone sends texts which are frequently splintered. Sometimes it does not depend on the size. I've had his large texts messages come in intact. I've had small text messages splintered. Most of his texts are received splintered though. He has an IPhone using ATT. I have a Samsung using Verizon.

Is there any way to correct this?

Unless it has changed, "SMS" messages have a 160-character limit. Any amount over that, will be "splintered" as you've put it.

Are you certain it's not a user issue? Sometimes when I'm texting I remember something else I wanted to say JUST after I hit the send button and then I immediately send another text. Could your friend be doing this?
