moving from android to ios . Help

Ive downloaded the move to ios app on my android and followed every step to make the transfer but it doesn't work . The code is only 6 digits not the 12 digits it should be and the phones do not connect at all . Just have circle of doom for ages then it times out ! Help please . After entering the 6 digit code the android phone tells me it is unable to connect with iphone .

Welcome to iMore! I have never used the Move to iOS app as I haven't owned an Android device in over seven years. That said, it seems to me like you might be trying to type in your iPhone's passcode into the Move to iOS app though instead of the code that is generated specifically for the transfer. You can also use some third-party apps to help you. But they are not for free
