How to connect to a LAN-only wifi hotspot?

I

iMore Question

Hi there,

I'm trying to connect my Ipod to a lan-only wifi hotspot, which means it does not have access to internet.

It actally recognizes the network, but i can't access anything, my multimedia player keeps telling me that the network is empty.

I have a computer which uses this network too, and it works fine (one connexion for LAN, one for WAN), but i can't make it work on my Ipod.

Config is the following for the ipod:
Static IP
IP: 192.168.1.20 (not used)
Mask: 255.255.255.0 (same as the router one)
Router: 192.168.1.100
DHCP: 8.8.8.8 (Google is our friend)

With the same settings (except IP of course), the computer works fine, so my questions is: how can i make it work on IOS as well?

Thanks for your answers,

Does your firewall and/or anti-whatever software or setting allow for what you're trying to do?

I think so, i can access the NAS server connected to this router with two computers using the configuration above, and as this is supposed to be a LAN-only network, the router's firewall has been disabled manually.
