iPad keeps disconnecting from internet

My mini iPad is about 4 years old. Recently I have found that I,m constantly loosing internet connection. Other devices in the house. Seem to be ok. I was told that it may be because iPad is getting old. Surely not?.

Which iOS version are you using with your iPad Mini? It's possible that the connection is simply timing out after a period of inactivity.
