How long did it take to recover your apple id?

I have a two-factor authentication on my phone. I made my iPhone my trusted device a few years ago. After updating to the latest OS I was required to sign in with my Apple ID. After entering my Apple ID, I had to enter a recovery code. Apple sent the code to my phone, which I cannot access. Then I've asked for ID recovery and it says that it takes a few days for the recovery instructions to be sent on the other trusted device which I had to set. I was wondering how long it has taken other people to recover their accounts. Thank you.

Hi. Actually that should only take 2 days or less since that is the Apple usual waiting time. If it takes more that that you better call the Support. I actually dont use other recovery method other than email or Secur questions, because Apple is so slow in recovering phone even if it is yours it took me 2 weeks for them to fix my phone.
