How do I transfer pictures from my messages to my camera roll

Used to double click on picture but that does not work anymore

Touch and hold and you should get the option to save the picture. Once you select "Save" it should go over to your camera roll.

Alternatively, if you've got a 3D touch enabled device you can force press the picture and swipe up and you'll be presented with the same option.
