Why does the audio sound worse on the iphone7?

I just bought a new iphone7 and found the sound quality very tin like or maybe like someone talking in a bathroom. The old iPhone 6 sounds much better. Anyone else?

My 7 Plus and my wife's 7 both sound better than our previous iPhones. She had a 6 and I had a 6S.

Same here. The sound from my iPhone 7 Plus , and iPhone 7 before it, sounds better than all of the previous iPhones I've owned.

The sound on the 7 is much better than my previous device, calls are much clearer too

I have the 7 Plus, and if it weren't for the fact sometimes the phone needs to charge when I want music, I would actually sell my Jam Berry Thrill! With my 6s I had to flip it on its face to get my music louder, and now I don't. I see a difference
