Unable to save photo from email to iPhone7

[iMore Question]

I have read the post on how to save a photo in an email to your phone. Did it all the time w/ iPhone 5s.now what I get is an empty message bubble. If I dbl tap, 2 choices pop up; Copy or Select All.
Any ideas??

What happens if you long press the image?
I just tried and I get the copy | save image option.
