How to stop unwanted emails on my Ipad pro with Ios 10

I am receiving mail from advertisers that I did not want. I was told there is a way to block these emails with iOs 10 on my iPad Pro. Also, is there a way to get notices when my letters recipient reads my mail? Maybe a "received Conferm" or something.

In iOS 10, the native Mail app can detect when email messages are from "Mailing lists" and give you the option to unsubscribe, however, I suspect that the feature is not foolproof. As for read email messages, there is not a setting within iOS that allows for read receipts like there is via the iMessage app.
