Apple TV Use

iMore Question

Apple TVs were installed in my classroom, however no instruction was offered as to how to use it.
Are there any courses available that I can sign up for to learn how to use this technology?

I would like to attend a "user" course for the Apple TV.
I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area

Ok I checked Apple.com and there does NOT appear to be workshops for the Apple TV. While Apple has free workshops for many of its products it appears the Apple TV is not one of them. Question, is it's a 3rd generation AppleTV OR a 4th generation? BIG difference! You are going to want to find out and then, maybe go to one of the 3 Apple stores in the Pittsburgh area and talk to one of the genius' who would be happy to give you a full demo (I'm pretty sure) of the 4th generation, OR explain how the 3rd generation works. If it's 3rd gen I can help a little too as I have one. :) I'm sure others from the forum would also be willing to help you learn the device. Either way (3rd or 4th) perhaps the most useful feature for you is going to be AirPlay, the ability to "cast" your iPad, iPhone or Apple computers to the Apple TV and thus to your monitor. It will be useful for showing movies, slides, heck ANYTHING you can do on the iphone/ipad can be seen on the monitor with the Apple TV via AirPlay....
