Does anyone's phone get hot

Occasionally my phone gets extremely warm to the point of almost being hot has this happened to anyone else

It happens from time to time. Especially my iPhone 5s could become extremely hot.

Welcome to iMore! It isn't uncommon for a smartphone to heat up, especially when the battery is being charged or when it's doing something really resource intensive like downloading content, gaming, or watching videos. As long as it isn't ALWAYS hot and it isn't getting to the point where it's burning your hand you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Mine rarely gets hot. Occasionally isn't bad but check your settings to see how many items are running in the background. Also if it gets too hot, you'll get a pop up that says the iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it. You definitely shouldn't be seeing that message too often.

I don't play games or do anything overly intensive on my phone. It warms up at worst, but not to the point where it's actually hot to touch.

My old Iphone 3s use to get so hot when charging ,till one day the battery exploded and the iphone was kaput
