My ipad mini dunked in water.what next?Do I have to buy another one?

I was not certain that the screen got wet, just the cover, took off cover, dried it with hairdryer, notice that the corners of screen look different. Should I take it to Apple store and buy a new one or is there a fix that I could do at home?

Power it off and keep it that way for a day.
After a day start it up and see if the problem is still there.
I am not sure what else you can do at this point.
