why would all my iPhone apps in iTunes not appear with original icon.

white/pink translucent with App store symbol in center. Old versions of app updates no longer go to trash but to Other in Finder

I do not know, and it's been quite a while since I've synced any apps via iTunes, but hopefully someone who knows the answer will reply soon.
