Why won't my TV (4th generation) stay on the screen when I turn it on?

I can turn my apple tv om and it will show the apps but then it goes back to direct tv.

got a new screen just a few minutes ago: Sleep Now?
This will also turn of any connected devices.
Sleep
Cancel
Sleep is highlighted and it will not let me move to cancel

Please Help

I have not come across this issue personally, but you may want to reset your tv. Here is a guide by Apple on how to do it. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT202118
