In iOS 10, how do you hang up a call with the power button?

All previous versions of iOS this was a feature. Now it only seems to lock the phone.

I see how to get the call details screen by tapping the name or number, but how can you end the call with the button press?

Welcome to iMore! I'm on the 10.1 beta. I just tested this and pushing the power button ended the call. Try a hard reset.
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.
Be sure you're not also pushing the volume button.
