Why doesn't my car receive text messages with the iphone 7

Since i upgraded to the iphone 7 i no longer receive text messages in my car via bluetooth

Read the instructions that came with your car, in case you failed to do something via the car's system.

There has been some weirdness with Bluetooth on iOS 10 that should be remedied in the next update.

Have you tried unpairing your phone and repairing it? If that doesn't work, you might have to wait for an iOS 10 update with fixes for any of the Bluetooth weirdness.

I also agree with Just_Me_D; give your stereo's manual a look to see if there's a setting you might have to toggle!

Bluetooth will randomly crap out and kill iTunes music streaming, will have to press play again. Will stop press play again on and on. Carplay does funky things too. The Bluetooth update for the iPhone 7 can't come soon enough.

Between my $1500 DNX 893s head-unit and my iphone7 plus 256GB $1300 you think you could stream some damn music at least..

Apple DROPPED the ball.
