My I Phone won't let me use my pass code, fingrt print and won't swipe. What do I do?

Pressing home button after entering pass code or using finger print won't work. Can't open phone to make phone calls or text message.

Have you tried rebooting the phone by holding the Home and Power buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo?
Can you provide more description other than it "won't work"? What happens? Has the Home button been physically damaged?
