Can't watch YouTube or other videos on Safari

On my Mac, I cannot watch YouTube videos or any other videos, such as reviews on iMore. All that I see on the iMore site is a large blank white space where the video should be, and this is true on any other site, also. This seems to have happened since I went to Sierra. Any suggestions?

It's early on Monday morning. Someone will come around soon. More are online later in the day. I have no idea. I don't have a Mac.

I'll check my iMac tonight, when I get home from work and then after dinner with my folks. (I go there on Monday nights)
