Can only hear "Hello" when my husband answers his phone

Hubby updated to the most recent update and now no one can hear him on his iphone 6s. After "hello" his voice is gone. Any suggestions?

Assuming that he isn't accidentally pressing the mute option, have him try the following.

1. Reboot the iPhone
2. If that doesn't help, go to Settings → General → Reset, and then select "Reset Network Settings".
3. If that doesn't work, restore the device and set it up as new.
