Updated iPad to iOS 10. Want to turn off home. All instructions seem to be for iPhone. Follow directions and there is no
Reset finger to open

Do you mean rest finger to open, you only get that where you have finger print reader, iPads without don't have that feature.

Correct, if your iPad does not have the fingerprint scanner, then it will not have that feature.
