    Worked fine this am, then the screen went black but could push on/off key and i would hear seri, now it is completely dead. Help!!!!!!

    Did you try connecting it to iTunes?
    What happens if you do that?

    It could either be your screen or some software issue.

    If you see your device in iTunes, make a backup and try restoring the device.

    If this is not possible, make an appointment with the nearest Apple Store or a Apple Certified Repair Service.

    This happened to me before. Rebooting my device helped me. Press & hold the home & power buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
