Default Is it possible to not use a passcode to unlock my iPhone 6S

I'm finding it very annoying that I have to enter a passcode or thumbprint to unlock my phone. Is there a way to set it up so that a passcode is not required?

Yes. Turn it off in settings if you don't want to use it.
