Can parents intercept incoming text messages sent to their child's phone before the child views them

My 14 yr old son and I had a fight 6 mths ago. Up until then he had been spending half his time with me and half with his dad but he was mad at me and said he was going to stay full time with his dad
His dad bought him an iPhone and put him on his plan. I know his dad monitors his calls and texts but could he be intercepting the texts I send my son before my son even see s them. I think my ex is trying to keep me from talking to my son

If your texting your son on his. Inner I don't think there is a way for him to intercept them not unless he has your. Inner blocked. If that's the case you will not be able to call or text him at all.
