my phone is showing 75% music and draining battery like crazy.

Phone given to me by my son. I never play music and cannot find where to turn this off so battery is not constantly being recharged.

You don't say what phone this is, but never mind, go to / find the music ikon, press it.If there are two vertical lines with an outward facing arrowhead each side of it press that, it should change to a triangle,if it does ,return to main menu recharge and see what happens. There may be more than one music app if it is a smartphone.
