Default how do I remove unwanted apps on the home screen?

If I hold my finger on an app they all wobble, but how do I then remove the unwanted one from the screen?

    Welcome to iMore!

When they start to wobble, you should see an (x) in the top corner of the app. Tap that to delete.

Note you can't delete stock Apple apps (in iOS 9, but you can remove the icon in iOS 10, due out in September).

Hold on the app you want to delete and then tap the X button on the top of each app and delete then.

When the apps start to wobble, tip your iPhone upside down as though you were emptying water from a glass. The apps should slide towards the downmost corner then pour all over the carpet. Simply hoover them up.

All right: not true. But it would be fun, wouldn't it?

What is true is that when they're in the wobble state, as well as deleting them, you can also drag them onto other screens or nest them in folders by holding one app over another.
